I have had this for a while now, so i really know the scoop:here is my story:After about 2 days, the computer kept shuting off randomlyAfter a week my fan was making rediculously loud sounds, so i had to send it back which acer made ME pay for return shippingafter a few months i was getting blue screens, and random freezing (after about 5 minutes of use)ACER=crap
Awesome little workhorse of a netbook and still going strong after 15 months of daily use. Quiet fan and cool running, long lasting battery. The light weight and small size is great for taking it everywhere I go. When I need more display room for my work, it's a snap to connect the Aspire One to a large size monitor using the VGA port. Keep the temp files and reg clean and it will continue to run as fast as the first day it booted up. The price has dropped and I'll be buying more Aspire Ones for my home network.
It essentially has been bricked. I took care of it very well and always used it on hard surfaces such as desks; however, after a year of ranting and raving about how great this computer is, it JUST DIED on me. I loved and used this computer for a year. Acer didn't want to help me because it died the day after the year warranty had expired. It won't turn on, and it doesn't work. I have replaced the battery thinking that the battery might had dies, and yet again nothing. I hate them.DO NOT BUY IT. YOU WILL LOVE IT, BUT THEN IT'LL JUST DIE ON YOU AND YOU'LL REGRET IT.I will never buy a netbook ever again.Buyer beware, they are cheap for a reason.
I bought this item in Septmeber, today is Christmas, and it just broke, no refund no nothing.
I liked the aesthetics. It was nice to hold; actually, a little toy that could do A LOT. Unfortunately, the anti-virus slowed it down A LOT, and eventually, I sold it off. If you can do without an anti-virus, go ahead.
